Broccoli Slaw Salad with Creamy Almond Dressing
Keep it vegetarian or add crisp, cooked bacon. Garnish with additional almonds for extra flavor.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon Mariani Slivered or Sliced Almonds, toasted
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons sherry or white wine vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1 (12-ounce) bag broccoli slaw (4 cups) *
1/3 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup minced red onion
4 slices cooked, crisp bacon (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Place 1 tablespoon of almonds, oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper in a small blender or food processor and blend until dressing is smooth.
Place dressing in a large bowl. Add broccoli slaw, remaining almonds, raisins and onions. Toss well to coat. Stir in bacon and garnish with additional almonds if desired. Season with pepper and serve immediately.
*May substitute 4 cups shaved Brussels sprouts.
